Two-Minute Drill: Fan bus available for Lobo football playoff game, more

<strong>FAN BUS:</strong> A bus to take fans to Longview's third-round playoff game against Midlothian on Saturday will load at 9 a.m. and depart at 11 a.m. from the guard shack at Longview High School.

Fans may sign up for the trip by calling Charlie Burns Jr. at (903) 758-3369 or (903) 452-7954.

Tickets to ride the bus are $35 (does not include game ticket).

<strong>THA HOLDING OPEN HOUSE:</strong> Thomas Hitting Academy in Longview has expanded its indoor facility and will hold an open house from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7.

Texas Rangers pitcher Derek Holland will make an appearance from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and he'll be available for autographs with the purchase of an Ionic Necklace ($20).

Pietro's will cater lunch for $5.

<strong>KC HOLDING CHEER TRYOUTS:</strong> KILGORE - Kilgore College will host cheerleader tryouts Saturday, Dec. 7, for the spring cheer squad.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. at Parks Fitness Center. Tryouts will begin at 9:30 a.m. and last until about 2 p.m.

Men and women of college age are eligible to try out to become a KC Ranger Cheerleader.

The cheer team will compete at nationals in the spring.

<strong>WINTER WORKOUTS AT AC:</strong> LUFKIN - Angelina College will host a winter baseball workout at 11 a.m. on Jan. 11.

Players should bring their own equipment, and are encourated to show up at 10:30 a.m. for registration.

There is no fee, and each player will be graded and evaluated by members of the Angelina College coaching staff.

<strong>SOFTBALL CLINIC:</strong> The Triple Threat Softball Clinic is returning to Longview Jan. 18-19 at the Longview High School indoor practice facility.

The clinic is for girls ages 8-18, and it will be hosted by USA Olympic women's softball team medalists Kelly Kretschman and Caitlin Lowe with special guests Megan Willis from the University of texas and Keilani Ricketts from the University of Oklahoma.

Fee for the two-day clinicis $175 per person or $150 per person involved with a team (minimum of 8 for the team discount) if registered by Dec. 31 and $200 per person from Jan. 2-14.

The fee includes both days of the clinic, a T-shirt, lunch on Saturday and Sunday and banquet dinner (parents and guests will be required to play for their own meals at the banquet).
