MOUNT PLEASANT -It had to be a downer watching senior Davion Hall limp off Sam Parker Field early in the third quarter, but L-E continued to battle hard.
Mount Pleasant led 15-0 when Hall left with what appeared to be a serious sprained ankle. L-E still scored first in the second half and outscored the Tigers 20-19 the final two quarters. It still added up to a 34-20 win for Mount Pleasant (2-0).
Senior quarterback Rashaan Donelson got L-E on the scoreboard with 9:58 left in the third period. He also tossed a short pass to Keith Wynkoop in the final minutes of the game that resulted in a 75-yard touchdown. Donelson finished the game 16 of 29 for a school-record 339 yards, but he was also intercepted twice.

Taylor ran for 150 yards, while Cannon caught six passes, including a 5-yarder for six points.
