Pizzalicious: Kilgore's Peddler's Pizza reopens in Longview

AKilgore hotspot has made its way to Longview.
Peddler's Pizza, which operated for 21 years in Kilgore, has relocated to Longview. Owner Falisha Reeves said while the menu features some new items, the pizza for which Peddler's is known still carries the same heavenly flavor.
"This is the truth - we do fresh dough every morning," Reeves said. "We use fresh veggies, absolutely nothing is frozen. We make our own sauce."
With only one size for a pizza (medium) and one kind of crust, Peddler's tries to make things simple for customers. All pizzas cost $8.99, regardless of how many toppings a person wants, Reeves said. Pepperoni is her most popular type of pizza.
Peddler's Pizza opened in 1992; Reeves purchased it in 2000. She rented a building in Kilgore and when it was sold to new owners, they asked her to leave. She found an ideal place to relocate on West Loop 281 in Longview.
Though her business just reopened Sept. 9, Reeves said she's already had many Kilgore customers pay her a visit.
She's also been delivering pizzas to Kilgore. Peddler's Pizza customers can dine in or order take-out, but Reeves also offers a free delivery option that encompasses Longview and the surrounding area, including Kilgore.
Her new Longview menu features meatball marina and Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, as well as fountain drinks. The location in Kilgore did not offer a dine-in option, but the Longview building has allowed the space for that.
Reeves said she hopes to see her business grow in Longview. Her long-term goal is to have a place to leave to her nieces and nephews.
"They love Peddler's Pizza," she said. "I want to have something to leave to them."
