ET Baseball: Carlisle's Brightwell pitches perfect game in 10-0 win over Big Sandy, more

<strong>CARLISLE 10, BIG SANDY 0:</strong> BIG SANDY - Zach Brightwell threw a perfect game at Big Sandy, striking out 13, as the Carlisle Indians rolled to a 10-0 District 20-A win.

Brightwell (6-1) was backed by 10 hits, including a home run, double, single and three RBIs from Kolton Heim. Ben Goss doubled twice, and Ty Baker added two hits for the Indians (11-3, 7-0).

<strong>HENDERSON 9, GLADEWATER 1:</strong> HENDERSON - Zane Boles struck out eight and scattered eight hits over seven innings on the hill, leading the Henderson Lions to a 9-1 District 16-3A win over Gladewater.

Conner Dotson had three hits, including a double, and drove in a run for the Lions. Grey Briggs added two hits and a couple of RBIs, and Jefferson Armstrong and Jake Staneart added two hits an an RBI apiece. Boles helped his own cause with an RBi.

Blake Guthrie drove in the lone run for Henderson.

<strong>WHITE OAK 11, NEW DIANA 7:</strong> DIANA - Gabe Michael highlighted a six-run seventh for White Oak wit ha three-run home run as the Roughnecks notched an 11-7 District 17-2A win.

Chris Henderson, Dylan Gale and Hayden Lott all doubled for White Oak (7-1). Eric Wilkinson struck out eight in six innings to earn the win.

Tanner Harris went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, and Lane Dickerson had a hit, walked twice and scored twice for New Diana (6-2).

Coy Holland took the loss. He fanned five in 6 1/3 innings.

<strong>TATUM 7, ORE CITY 1:</strong> ORE CITY - Sam Toon shut Ore City down for six innings, and the Eagles notched a 7-1 District 17-2A win over Ore City.

Toon struck out seven, walked one and allowed one earned run. Justin Danzer walked one in an inning of relief.

Justin Danzer and Bailey Skinner both doubled for the Eagles. Kedrick Boyd, Dancer, Kade Combs and Garrett White had two hits apiece, and Boyd and Danzer had RBIs.

Bailey Green doubled in the loss for Ore City.

<strong>UNION GROVE 11, WASKOM 1:</strong> UNION GROVE - Tristen Thompson tripled and singled, Ethan Tillery earned the pitching win and the Union Grove Lions notched an 11-1 District 17-2A win over Waskom.

Tillery struck out six in five innings.

Hayden Gray drove in two runs. Garrett Gibson doubled in a run, and Tillery helped his cause with an RBI single. Lane Youngblood had a two-run triple and an RBI single for the Lions.

<strong>HUGHES SPRINGS 1, QUEEN CITY 0:</strong> HUGHES SPRINGS - Dylan Moore struck out 10, walked none and scattered four hits, and the Hughes Springs Mustangs notched a 1-0 District 16-2A win over Queen City.

Blake Walker went 2-for-2 and drove in the lone run of the game in the fourth inning. Moore had the other hit for the Mustangs.

Drew Davenport took the loss for Queen City. He struck out two and walked one.

Hughes Springs (15-1, 6-1) will visit Paul Pewitt on Friday.

<strong>LINDEN-KILDARE 10, DAINGERFIELD 4:</strong> LINDEN - Jordan Craver drove in four runs, Curt Wells doubled and singled and the Linden-Kildare Tigers notched a 10-4 District 16-2A win over Daingerfield.

Isaiah Currie added two RBIs for the Tigers.

Wells went the distance on the hill for Linden-Kildare, striking out 13.

Colton Gibbs had a single an an RBI in the loss.
