Carlisle's Zach Brightwell was perfect, and Henderson's Conner Dotson beat up on the competition at the plate last week. For their performances, Brightwell has been named ETvarsity.com's Pitcher of the Week and Dotson is the top hitter for games played March 31-April 5.

Brightwell threw a perfect game against Big Sandy in a 10-0 win. He struck out 13 of the 18 batters he faced in a six-inning game, running his record to 6-1 on the year.

Dotson finished the week 5-for-7 with two doubles, a triple, four RBIs and three runs scored as the Lions defeated Chapel Hill and Gladewater.

In other top performances from around East Texas:

Pine Tree's Chandler Minze and Mount Pleasant's Michael Kopech battled it out on the mound in a Pine Tree 4-1 win.
