White Oak Ladynecks knocked out of playoffs by Harmony, 44-32

District 18-2A champion Harmony showed its depth Wednesday night at Solheim Arena.
Behind a double-double from McKinna Seahorn, five Lady Eagles put up at least three points and three rebounds as Harmony jumped ahead early and held on for a 44-32 win over White Oak in a Class 2A Region III bi-district matchup at LeTourneau University.
With the win, Harmony (22-7) advances to the area round and will face Crockett at 5:15 on Saturday at UT Tyler.
White Oak - with a roster consisting of all underclassman - finished the season at 13-12.
Seahorn finished with 13 points and pulled down 17 rebounds for Harmony. Cailee Davidson added 11 of her 13 overall points in the second half to accompany six rebounds. Mikaelyn Settles finished with nine point and seven rebounds off the bench for the Lady Eagles.
For White Oak, Makenzie Goll led the way with 10 points, six rebounds, three steals and a pair of assists. Cayman Sutton dropped eight points, had five rebounds and two dishes for the young Lady Necks. Audrey Lunstedt and Kayla McCoy finished with seven boards.
Seahorn netted Harmony's first five points of the night before the Lady Eagles rattled off a 10-0 run to close the first quarter. Settles came off the bench for Harmony and finished with six points and five rebounds in the run to give the Lady Eagles a 15-4 lead after the first quarter.
With both teams in the bonus before the five-minute mark in the second stanza and with a combined 1-of-23 shooting from both teams, Harmony took a 10-point lead, 19-9, into the break.
Davidson converted a three-point play and took a dish off a steal from senior Jacy Lloyd to give Harmony its largest lead of the night at 15 points with 6:50 to go in the third quarter.
Sutton followed a pair from the stripe with a three-pointer and Allison Goll added two more from free-throw range to pull White Oak within eight before three-straight at the line gave Harmony a 29-18 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Seahorn added her final six points of the night in the first three minutes of the final stanza, answering each White Oak shot to give the Lady Eagles the 44-32 win.
