TxDOT road report: planned area projects for the week

Here's a quick look at ongoing events and work planned this week in the Tyler and Atlanta districts:

<h3>Anderson County</h3>

Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to make base and pavement repairs on FM 319 between Texas 294 and the end of state maintenance.

Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

<h3>Cherokee County</h3>

Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform edge and shoulder work on FM 747 north of U.S. 79.

<h3>Gregg County</h3>

Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform edge work on FM 2011 in the recently resurfaced area between FM 349 east of Kilgore and the EB I-20 onramp at FM 2087.

<h3>Henderson County</h3>

Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform shoulder work on FM 1615 between Texas 19 south of Athens and the end of state maintenance.

<h3>Rusk County</h3>

Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue edge work on U.S. 259 between FM 850 and Loop 571 in Henderson.

<h3>Smith County</h3>

Texas Department of Transportation construction contractor East Texas Bridge, Inc., of Longview, is scheduled to begin preliminary work to add passing lanes to Texas 31 east of Tyler between FM 850 and FM 757. The $3.5 million project let to contract in September 2013, and is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2015.

<h3>Van Zandt County</h3>

Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform fog seal operations in both directions on I-20 between FM 1255 east of Canton and the Smith County Line.

<h3>Bowie County</h3>

I-30 – Near Hooks, constructing new frontage roads.

U.S. 59 – At FM 989 (Kings Highway), reconstructing intersection replacing asphalt pavement with concrete. Traffic restricted to one lane each direction. Expect traffic delays.

U.S. 59 – At FM 2148, installing signal lights and dedicated turn lanes. Traffic restricted to one lane each direction.

FM 2240 (Moores Lane) – in Texarkana between FM 559 (Richmond Road) and FM 1397 (Summerhill Road), widening roadway to add continuous left-turn lane. Expect traffic delays.

<h3>Camp County</h3>

Texas 11 – At FM 1735, adding turn lanes.

<h3>Cass County</h3>

U.S. 59 – Near FM 3129 in Domino, constructing new overpass at FM 3129. Traffic restricted to one lane each direction.

<h3>Harrison County</h3>

I-20 – From Gregg County Line to Louisiana State Line, repairing concrete pavement.

FM 450 – At Little Cypress Creek, replacing bridge and relocating roadway.

U.S. 80 – At Union Pacific Railroad overpass west of Marshall, replacing guardrails and repairing concrete pavement.

U.S. 59 and U.S. 80 – In Marshall, constructing ADA wheelchair ramps on sidewalks at intersections. Outside lanes closed at various locations.

<h3>Morris County</h3>

U.S. 259 – From U.S. 67 to south of I-30, widening shoulders and resurfacing.

<h3>Titus County</h3>

U.S. 271 – At US 67 west of Mt. Pleasant and at FM 3417 south of Mount Pleasant, constructing new

bypass around town. Traffic restricted to one lane each direction.

<h3>Upshur County</h3>

U.S. 80 – At Big Sandy Creek, replacing bridge and approaches.

Texas 155 – From south of Sabine River to U.S. 80, replacing bridges and widening roadway.
