<strong>OFFENSIVE MVP: Blake Bogenschutz</strong>

<strong>Team:</strong> Carthage Bulldogs

<strong>Facts and figures:</strong> Bogenschutz completed 231 of 393 passes for 4,003 yards with 57 touchdowns and just four interceptions to lead the Bulldogs to the Class 3A Division I state title. He also carried 97 times for 446 yards and seven touchdowns, directing an offense that rolled up 7,745 total yards (3,640 rushing, 4,105 passing).

<h3>BY THE NUMBERS</h3>

<strong>121:</strong> Touchdown passes in his three-year career as the starting quarterback for Carthage.

<strong>9,569:</strong> Career passing yards.

<strong>298:</strong> Total yards accounted for by Bogenschutz in the state championship game against Kilgore. The senior standout, who has given a verbal pledge to UT San Antonio, carried 11 times for 100 yards and completed 9 of 19 passes for 198 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.

<strong>6:</strong> Touchdown passes, a season-high, in a playoff win over La Grange. He also passes for a season-high 395 yards in that game.

<strong>12:</strong> Number of games in which Bogenschutz passes for at least three touchdowns, including five scoring tosses against Diboll, Huntington, Rusk and Nacogdoches and 4 TD passes against Mexia, Center, Whitehouse and Chapel Hill.
