CONWAY, Ark. (AP) - The U.S. government says ExxonMobil can restart in Texas a segment of an oil pipeline that ruptured in Arkansas a year ago.
The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration approved the oil company's request to restart a segment of the Pegasus pipeline. Company spokesman Aaron Stryk said ExxonMobil will restart the pipeline, but at a reduced pressure.
He said the company's remedial work plan for the Northern segment, which includes Arkansas and runs through Mayflower, was submitted during the weekend.
