A group of close-knit gals decided to take a break from their nursing jobs at Good Shepherd Medical Center of Longview.

They hit the road to Destin, Fla., for six days of fun.
The 10 women rented a condo on the beach, but they didn't spend much time indoors. As soon as they arrived, they threw on their bathing suits and soaked up some sun. They traveled at the end of summer, so the beaches were practically deserted. The girls loved having their pick of prime sunbathing spots.
When they weren't sunbathing, they were shopping! They spent hours buying souvenirs and knick knacks at the outlet mall's shops and boutiques. The group also spent one afternoon aboard a glass-bottom boat. As the boat went out to sea, the girls were able to see various marine life and watch a group of dolphins swim and play beside them.
Each night when the sun went down, the group headed out to eat some delicious seafood and see the sights. Their favorite spot was AJ's Seafood and Oyster Bar where they listened to a live band and enjoyed the sights and sounds.
Overall, their trip was one they would love to do again. Girlfriend time is very important to these ladies!
