This year for Mother's Day, sisters Ginny Anthony-Cloud and Shelly Brady, along with their good friend Laura Faughn, got the urge to escape reality for awhile. With no husbands and no babies, they boarded a beautiful cruise ship to Cozumel. They were headed for a few days of nothing but relaxation and fun times!

Once the girls got situated in their closet-sized bungalow, they decided on their game plan. There was one thing each girl wanted to definitely accomplish while on board their ship: Ginny wanted to tan and check out the crystal blue Caribbean water; Shelly, the trivia buff, was excited about participating in group trivia games that were scheduled throughout the days; and Laura was eager to take part in art auctions and stroll through a gallery adorned with beautiful works of art. And, of course, they were all interested in doing some shopping in the duty-free areas and pressing their luck in the casino.
The first morning, they headed for the pool deck where they spent five hours basking in the warm sun. During their deck time, they were waited on hand-and-foot, and enjoyed frequent trips to an all-you-can-eat sushi bar. After getting a sufficient amount of sunshine, the girls got dressed for an evening of fine dining and dancing.
Once they reached their destination on the white sands of Cozumel, the girls hopped on a bus to their on-shore excursion — a day at one of Cozumel's beach clubs, Playa Mia Beach. While others kayaked, played in one of the fresh-water pools or got in on a game of sand volleyball, these ladies shopped to their hearts' content. They then spent the rest of their fun-filled, worry-free day laying out in beach chairs, sipping margaritas. Before they boarded their cruise ship, they even made it a point to get cute henna tattoos to bring back with them.
Back on board, the gals made sure to check out some of the night life on the ship, taking in shows full of music, dancing, lights and costumes that could rival any Broadway performance, watching a live newlywed gameshow and even watching a great performer do a comedy routine that kept them laughing all night.
Ginny, Shelly and Laura came home with fun pictures and great memories, and are looking forward to scheduling another Mother's Day trip for next year.
