Friends Sherry Lockman, Andrea Sudderth, Kristi McBride, Lora Black and Pat Morchat are all creative, cool women who like to get together for elaborate, exciting girl weekends. Whether trekking through Wyoming fields or strolling the streets of Jefferson, they know how to have a great time no matter how far from home! In May, the group schemed to create a "guys' weekend" for the girls at Kristi's 140-acre spread in Gladewater. By the end of the trip, all the girls were saying, "Yeehaw!"
Kristi prepped the house for the girls' arrival, although living on a ranch-style home meant that there wasn't TOO much to do in the way of decoration. Her home is decked out in Western flair, and as her friends pulled up to the house Friday night Kristi greeted each one at the door with a cowboy hat, a pair of chaps and a welcoming smile.
Once all the girls were changed into the proper attire, they gathered in the saloon-style bar area where they participated in an impromptu photo shoot. They spent the night sipping drinks and talking girl talk.
The next morning they woke up to the smell of a real country breakfst: eggs, bacon, biscuits and a strong pot of coffee. They needed their energy for a big day of Western fun!
Kristi's ranch in Gladewater sits on acres of land as far as the eye can see, so the gals went exploring! Each woman jumped atop her own horse as the group weaved its way through trails and around ponds enjoying the beauty of the Saturday morning air. After the hours-long ride, they stopped for a little target practice. They all brought their guns from home and they were ready to spend some time shooting! Once they got their trigger-happy times out of the way, the girls ended their day riding four wheelers into the evening.
They said their goodbyes that night, but they're already planning their next trip: a Spring Break Caribbean cruise!
