A pair of songstresses from the River City grace the stage in the next Live Music, Fine Arts concert.
It remains to be seen whether or not Austinites Beth Wood and Abi Tapia will perform separate sets or join each other as a duo, series coordinator Niki Blaske said.
Wood grew up in music-rich Lubbock, going on to study voice and piano at Brevard College in North Carolina. She picked up her first guitar after graduating and moving to Austin, where she's developed a following with a warm stage presence and a crafty songwriting style, according to promotional material.
Tapia was born in Alabama to musician parents. Her music draws from country, folk and rock influences. Tapia's album, "One Foot Out The Door," plays on themes of loving and leaving and has drawn comparison to the best Austin singer/songwriters from critics in the capital city.
