An armed robber stole an undisclosed amount of cash Saturday night from a gasoline station in Kilgore, police there reported.
The robbery occurred around 10 p.m. at the Murphy USA station, adjacent to Wal-Mart at 1209 Southport Road. According to a Kilgore police statement issued Sunday, officers were called at 10:15 p.m. Saturday to the gas island where a clerk reported being robbed by a man armed with a handgun.
The clerk told police the robber stepped from a green SUV with a bandanna over his face, pointed a black handgun at her and demanded all the money in the cash drawer.
The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of money, police said, and the robber fled in the SUV.
