JUNIOR VARSITY
Longview 40, Pine Tree 10
Jhaston Faggans scored three times on the ground and Deontre Wilson threw a pair of touchdown passes to go along with one rushing touchdown as the Longview High School junior varsity rolled to a 40-10 win over Pine Tree.
Faggans scored on runs of 25, 15 and 2 yards. Wilson threw touchdown passes of 15 yards to Braden King and 30 yards to Eric Hawkins and scored once on a 5-yard TD run.
Tyson Dixon and Anthony Jimmerson had interceptions for the Lobos. Jamel Sams had eight tackles and two sacks, Paul Hudson six tackles, Ja'Quale Darden a 55-yard punt return and Adam Mack four extra points.
NINTH GRADE
Longview (A) 28, Pine Tree 6
Bivins Caraway threw two touchdown passes to lead the way, and the Longview 9th A team rolled to a 28-6 win over Pine Tree.
Damion Russell opened the scoring with a five-yard run, and then Caraway threw touchdown passes of 10 yards to Jaylan Lawson and 28 yards to Jonte Burkes before Tory White capped the scoring with a 10-yard run.
Colin Jeter and Taylor Clapper caught two-point conversion passes from Caraway.
Jalen Porter and Jerry Savoy had sacks and LaMond Martin recovered a fumble for Longview, which moves to 5-1 with the win.
Longview (B) 20, Pine Tree 0
Stoni Johnson scored twice, and Padetrick Raspberry added one score as the Longview 9th B team blanked Pine Tree, 20-0.
Kenny Washington forced a fumble, JaVontrae Williams recovered a fumble and Xavier Mitchell and Martavous Henderson had sacks for Longview, now 5-0-2.
MIDDLE SCHOOLS
Foster 28, Judson 6
Chris Coby rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown, Stephon Dunn passed for 72 yards and two scores and the Foster Middle School Dragons earned the city championship with a 28-6 win over Judson.
Foster ends its season with a 7-1 record. The Dragons worked four shutouts defensively this season and allowed a total of 34 points while averaging 27 points per game offensively.
Judson drops to 3-4 with the loss and will take on Forest Park on Nov. 5 at Judson Stadium.
Foster opened the scoring with a safety, and then Coby scored on a 21-yard run to make it an 8-0 contest.
After Kadarrius Dixon recovered a fumble to end the first quarter, Dunn connected with Travin Howard on a 66-yard scoring pass on the first play of the second quarter and Dunn then hit Dorian Leonard for two points and a 16-0 lead.
Dunn found Leonard again on a 3-yard pass and a 22-0 lead, and a fumble recovery by Ehi Ihionkhan send Foster into the half with that cushion.
Decal Flanagan opened the second half with a 74-yard touchdown run to put Foster in front 28-0, and then Cardavian Edwards capped a 3-play, 52-yard drive for Judson with a 40-yard run. Edwards' run was followed by a 10-yard screen pass from Cason Ellsworth to Josh Johnson and a 12-yard run by Johnson.
For Foster, Howard rushed for 13 yards and caught the one touchdown pass, and Sam Scarborough carried six times for 13 yards. Stephon Anthony intercepted a pass for the Dragons.
For Judson, David Mancha caught a 25-yard pass from Ellsworth. Defensive standouts included DeRodrick Alexander, Vernon Hutchinson, Justin Charles, Jorge Acuna and Caleb McGaugh. Acuna also had a 65-yard kickoff return, and McGaugh recovered a fumble — his second of the season.
Forest Park 30, Pine Tree 0
Jhavaurian Moore completed 7 of 11 passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns, and Roman Brown rushed for 100 yards on 15 carries as Forest Park Middle School blanked Pine Tree, 30-0.
Jeremy Powell opened the scoring for Forest Park (6-1) with a 5-yard run, and Nathan Coby added the two-point conversion.
Stephan Maxey raced 48 yards for a toucdown in the second quarter, and then Moore hit Robert Hines for 37 yards and Cadell Williams for 26 on scoring tosses in the third and fourth quarters to cap the scoring. Moore also had a two-point conversion run and threw a two-pointer to L'Darius Peterson.
Defensively, Coby forced a fumble and Maxey recovered, and Powell had a sack. Cartez Johnson, Freddy Pullun and Maxey all had big defensive games.
The Forest Park offensive line of Trevon Lloyd, Angel Mata, DeMarcus Else, Davontae Williams and Shaq Atkinson helped pave the way for 203 rushing yards and 320 total yards.
Lewis Fargas opened the game with a pooch kick that was recovered by Forest Park.
