Annual Open House to be held at Carthage Fire Department

The Carthage Fire Department will be holding an Open House Tuesday, Oct. 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the fire station in Carthage. There will be hot dogs, popcorn, drinks and other foods and games for the children.

Panola County Girls Softball Association donates $1,000 to Ronald McDonlad House

The Panola County Girls Softball Association hosted the Makenzie Faith Farlow Memorial Softball tournament this past weekend with the Fastpitch America Sotball Association to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charity. The PCGSA donated $1,000 to the organization and FASA pledged $4,000 thanks in part to the money raise at the tournament. Panola College to Celebrate Students for Volunteerism

Panola College Store and Panola College Student Activities are joining almost 2,000 other college campus stores across the U.S. and Canada Oct. 9 to celebrate and promote social responsibility during the fourth annual National Student Day.
