Authorities investigate car burglaries

Investigators with the Carthage Police Department, as well as the Panola County Sheriff’s Office have been investigating several vehicle burglaries that occurred over the summer months.

Carthage JV fall just short of Hallsville on Thursday, 13-6

The Carthage junior varsity football squad opened the 2014 season with a 13-6 loss to Hallsville at home on Thursday night. The Bulldogs forced three turnovers and put up 189 yards of offense.

M.P. Baker Library to host Lunchbox Lecture

Amy Riestenberg of Etiquette East Texas will be the featured speaker for the first Lunchbox Lecture of the academic year at Panola College on Sept. 9. Amy will present "Polished or Problematic? Ten Tips for Putting Your Best Foot Forward”.
