Battlin Bulldog Band holds annual competition, showcase

The Carthage High School Battlin Bulldog Band held its annual Snap competition and Auxiliary Showcase on Friday August 15th at Bulldog Stadium. The Band broke into 10 squads composed of 10 to 12 members in each squad and competed performing basic marching maneuvers in a drill. Mr. Stuart Bird was on hand to judge the competition. Winners of the Snap competition where as followed; 1st place, Squad 3. Leaders, Kristen Brooks, Tyler Holman and Zachary Kiper. Members included Paul Cook, Macy Isbell, Kelsey Weidner, Caleb Gibbs, Ty'Kemion Osborn, Mason Farr Amanda Jennings and Kelli Sandidge. 2nd place was squad 9. Leaders , Kate Sherman, Cassia Brittain and Maddy Youngblood. Members include Hunter Harrison, Chance Owens, Donny Holman, Katelin Baker, Ashton Hicks, Stormi Morgan and Laney Tilton. 3rd place was squad 7. Leaders, Alex Rowe , Candice Ballard and Dalila Perez. Members included Maria Ewins, Austin McRae, Gracie Bandhead, Riley Green, Cassia Tinkle, Nikki Heim, Reese Knippers and Austin Smith. The Auxiliary performed to two pop tunes and the band performed this year's fanfair and pieces of this year's march selections. The evening was closed out with the Bulldog fight song. The band will begin this week learning this year's drill for UIL marching competition to be held in October. Foreign persons must report U.S. agricultural land holdings

Panola County USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director Ralph Jordan reminds foreign persons with an interest in agricultural lands in the United States that they are required to report their holdings and any transactions to the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture.
