Preparations for the 2013 Panola County Live Stock Show and Sale will begin Tuesday, February 19 with Goat & Lamb clipping from 2 to 6 p.m. at the County Expo.
Monday, Feb. 25, the Steer weigh-out & Ultrasound Contest will be between 4 and 5 p.m. Every steer must undergo ultrasound. Tuesday, Feb. 26 will be Swine clip night at the County Expo from 2 to 7 p.m.
The Pen of Heifers must be in place at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27. Judging Pen of Heifers will be at 10:00 a.m. All market animals must be in the barn by 2 p.m. Weigh-in for lambs, barrows, goats will be held from 2 to 4 p.m.
Chickens, Rabbits, and Breeding Swine must be in place and checked in at the barn by 7 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28. Show Starts at 8 a.m. and judging begins for chickens and rabbits, barrows, breeding boars and gilts, lambs, goats for the Peewee Division. Pictures are to be taken immediately following judging of each species. Check-in for all beef animals will be from 3 to 4 p.m. All breeding swine must be removed from the premises by 6 p.m.
