Coles celebrate 75th
Roy H. Cole, 96, and Flora D. Cole, 93, will be celebrating their 75th Wedding Anniversary September 3, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. at Tatum School Community Building in Tatum Texas. It is located on Highway 149 at the school. It is the building next to the Administration Building. There will be a sign and balloons.
Roy and Flora were married September 1, 1941. Roy is a World War II Veteran. He served with the 3rd Army 21st combat engineering Battalion. They went in front of the troupe and built bridges for them to cross. He was in France, then Germany and Belgium. They had five children, the late, Royce Cole, Jean Cole of Henderson, the late, Delbert Cole, Frank Cole of Tatum and the late, Gaylon Cole. They have seen their share of hard times and sad times, but their faith in God and love for each other has given them many many years of happiness and wonderful memories. Their daughter, Jean says she thinks they have camped on every lake river, pond and ocean in the state of Texas and many other States.
Everyone is invited to attend this celebration, we request no gifts please, just come and share a story about them and see the love they have shared and the love they have given their family. They still attend Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Tatum where they have been a member for 53 years. They are the proud grandparents of 12 grandchildren, 20 great- grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Come celebrate 75 years and counting.
