Sarah Suzanne Ramey and David Wayne Larsen were joined in sacred marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015. The ceremony took place underneath the great oak trees at The Ramey Ranch in Grass Valley, California. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Brother Bill Collins from Natchitoches, Louisiana. Scripture reading of Song of Solomon 8:6-7 was read by the brides brother Josh Ramey. Music was provided by Guy Prudhomme, guitarist and Shawn Prudhomme, violinist. Flowers were grown and assembled by Dinner Bell Farm, Chicago Park, California. Photography was provided by Evangeline Renee Wedding Photographers of Columbus, Indiana. Following the ceremony a dinner reception, catered by A Family Affair Catering, was held at the Ramey Ranch. On the eve of the wedding a rehearsal dinner, provided by Bills Chuckwagon and Happy Apply Kitchen, was held at Rollins Lakeside Inn, Chicago Park, California.

The bride is the daughter of Joe and Sue Ramey of Grass Valley, California, and the granddaughter of the late Gilbert and Dot Maupin of Roseville, California, and the late Willard and Josephine Ramey of Grass Valley, California. The groom is the son of Lester and Sylvia Larsen of Longview, Texas and the grandson of H.E. Cotton and Dorris Roeber and Dan and Nonie Larsen all of Longview, Texas.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless sweetheart corset bodice ball gown by Oleg Cassini and shoes by Vera Wang. The 9 layered organza and tulle gown featured a sweep train with vintage inspired antique rose appliques with a whisper pink silk tie at the waist. The bride carried an elegant bouquet made of Peony, Snap Dragon, Larkspur, Foxglove, Sweet Pea, Stapice, Scabiosa, Mock Orange, Snowball Viburnum, Eucalyptus, Camellia greenery, and Bridal Wreath Spirea.

The bridal party wore varying styles of knee length navy blue dresses and carried bouquets arranged with the same bridal flowers. Attending the bride as Maid of Honor was the brides sister, Hanna Ramey of Grass Valley, California, and Matron of Honor was the brides sister, Esther Kopp of Grass Valley, California. Bridesmaids were Rachel Weston, sister of the bride, of Williams, California, Amanda Garcia of Chicago, Illinois, Colleen Volheim of Penn Valley, California, Kimberley Hughes of Rocklin, California, and Jessica Sherrill of Lewisville, Texas. Flower girls were Katherine Ramey, Violet Weston, and Juliana Ramey, page was Heather Weston, all nieces of the bride.

The groom and his party wore Pronto Uomo Vintage Two Button Tan Notch Lapel Suits with white shirts, tan vests and tan for the groom and navy blue ties for the groomsmen. Attending the groom as Best Man was the grooms brother, Daniel Larsen of Longview, Texas. Groomsmen were Shawn Small of Lewisville, Texas, Kyle Ballard of Dallas, Texas, Drew Story of Riverside, California, Nick Copeland of Dallas, Texas, Tyler Knowles of Robbinsville, North Carolina, and Jimmy Moore of Cross Roads, Texas.

Ushers included David Ramey, Daniel Ramey, brothers of the bride, of Grass Valley, California and Bo Larsen, cousin of the groom, of Visalia, California. Serving as Ring Bearer was Hurley Jensen, nephew of the bride.

Sarah is a graduate of the Ramey Homeschool. She attended California State University, Sacramento and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Food. She is currently employed by Circo Innovations, Inc. in Grass Valley, California.

David is a graduate of Longview High School. He attended Northwestern State University, Natchitoches, Louisiana on a full ride football scholarship. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a Pre-Med concentration. He is currently employed by Biotechnology Calendaring in Grass Valley, California.

Following their honeymoon to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, the couple will reside in Grass Valley, California.
