Emily Kate Erickstad and Casey Abraham Gutierrez were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014, at the Marty Leonard Chapel in Fort Worth, Texas. The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Matthew Oxley. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Dr. Mark Erickstad.
A reception was held at The Stongate Mansion in Fort Worth. Music was provided by Uptown Violins with Patrick McKeever soloist/guitarist and Susan McKeever, soloist. Flowers were provided by Lizzie Bee’s Flower Shop in Sachse, Texas.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Mark Erickstad of Longview, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clive McKeever of Longview, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Erickstad. Emily graduated from Baylor University in 2011 with degrees in Economics, Spanish and Public Administration and is currently pursuing a master’s in Economics.
The groom is the son of Ms. Gloria Gutierrez of Fort Worth. Casey graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso, received a master’s degree from Tarelton State University and is pursuing his Ph.D. from Womens University in Denton. He is a counselor for Fort Worth ISD.
Matron of honor was Rebecca McMahon of Lufkin, Texas. Maid of honor was Rachel Neyland of Dallas, Texas. Serving as bridesmaids were Kristen Cantin of Fort Worth, Texas, Kristen Erickstad of Shreveport, La., Melanie Lavo of Houston, Texas, Jassmarie Matzdorff of Dallas, Texas, and Kathryn Sprengel of Dallas, Texas.
Best man was Jorge Martinez of El Paso, Texas. Groomsmen were Raymond Barrera Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas, Jeffrey Brooks of Fort Worth, Texas, Matthew Doherty of El Paso, Texas, David Gonzales of El Paso, Texas, Christopher Kidder of Fort Worth, Texas, and Michael Rodriguez of Humble, Texas.
Serving as ushers were Landon Erickstad of Shreveport, La., Connor Erickstad of Waco, Texas, and Adam Vaughan of Jackson, Miss.
After a honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the couple will reside in Fort Worth, Texas.
