The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen White McDaniel of Longview and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cecil McDaniel of Hemphill, Texas, and the late Mrs. Dovie Beard Burlison and the late Rev. and Mrs. Irvin C. Burlison of Longview.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Byron Roach of Longview and Mr. and Mrs. William Frank Goerner of Halletsville, Texas, and the grandson of Mrs. Geraldine Roach and the late Mr. Jessie Robert Roach of Longview, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Conley Webb of Cypress, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. Euclid Ray Flowers of Longview.
Erin was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. For her wedding, Erin chose a gown by designer Carolina Herrera. The gown featured a strapless sweetheart neckline with ivory silk taffeta applique and floral thread work embroidery throughout. Erin’s maiden initial “M” adorned both sides of the gown’s fluted skirt which flowed into a chapel length train.
Serving as matrons of honor were Jill Stephenson Allison of Dallas, Leslie Abernathy Johnson of Denver, Colorado, and Ellen Bellamy Wilkinson Maxwell of Martinsville, Virginia. Bridesmaids were Amy Wetzel Buxton of Fort Worth, Smila Rabicoff Ferlise of Phoenix, Arizona, Marisa Newkirk Huckin of Dallas, Amy Jenkins Schaffer of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Hilary Heath Zaino of Fort Worth. Honor attendants were Amy Louise Brookshire of Brooklyn, New York, Laura Kathryn Wilson DuVall of Dallas, Cara Mignon Hair of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Celeste Tregre Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lanie Nix Lenhart of Longview, Ana Rabicoff Lim of Fort Worth and Sarah Kathryn Oberndorfer of Basehor, Kansas.
The bride’s godchildren surrounded her as she descended the stone steps overlooking the Guadalupe River. A large iron cross sat on a scrolled iron and stone altar table. The godchildren are Samuel Bryan Allison, Anna Claire Johnson, Catherine DeRosset Maxwell and David James Schaffer. As the ensemble played “When Irish Eyes are Smiling,” Samuel and Anna led carrying a swag of greenery to place on the altar and David carried a wooden communion box to the altar table. Catherine followed the bride assisting with her train. Trace McDaniel Young, namesake of the bride’s deceased brother, Stephen White McDaniel II, presented the Holy Bible.
The bride’s mother was escorted by Todd Leland Young of Austin and Robert Joseph Folzenlogen of Forth Worth.
The groom’s brother, Kyle Douglas Roach of Norfolk, Virginia, served as best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s brother, Robert Cullen Alexander Roach of Longview, Marshal Grant Hamilton of Plano, Texas, Matthew Joe Mahone of Southlake, Texas, Benjamin Edward Needham of Canadian, Texas, and Justin Don Rader of Canadian, Texas. Serving as ushers were Tyler Paul Ford of Humble, Texas, and Joe Don Nobles of Longview. Ringbearers were Sutton Grant Hamilton and William L. Mahone.
The mother of the groom was escorted by her son, Kyle Douglas Roach and the stepmother of the groom was escorted by her son, Robert Cullen Alexander Roach.
Music was provided by the Symphony of the Hills Ensemble, Ian Blackie, bagpiper, and Sarah Wilson Medin, soloist. Scripture was read by Lanie Nix Lenhart and Ana Rabicoff Lim.
The bride is a 1993 graduate of Trinity School of Texas in Longview and a 1997 graduate of TCU in Fort Worth, where she earned a B.B.A. in Marketing with a minor in Art History. She earned a JD with Honors, Order of the Coif, from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2002. Erin is Assistant General Counsel for Jasper Ridge Partners, L. P. in Fort Worth.
Russell is a 1998 graduate of Trinity School of Texas and a 2002 graduate of Texas A&M University. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Science. Russell is an independent oil and gas landman.
Following a honeymoon in Montana and Wyoming, the couple will reside in Southlake, Texas.
