Sara Katherine Decker and Jeffrey Winter Paules, Jr. were joined in marriage September 9, 2015 at 5:30 p.m., at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, in Maui, Hawaii. Pastor Laki Kaahumanu officiated. Pastor Laki is best known for his appearance on ABCs Modern Family TV series Hawaii episode at the Four Seasons Resort. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Billy Decker.

Matron of honor was Mary Hannah Key of Denton, Texas. Bridesmaids were Alli Pierce and Michelle Applebaum, both of Austin, Texas. Ronnie Mohler of San Marcos, Texas served as best man and Zack Decker of Longview was a groomsman.

The reception was held at Ferraros at the Four Seasons Resort and music was provided by Charles Nahale of Maui, Hawaii. The couple honeymooned in Hawaii and now resides in Austin, Texas.

The bride is the daughter of Billy Decker of Longview, Texas and Leigh Decker of Galveston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Joseph and Barbara Steinbach of Longview, the late Leo Decker of Panama City, Florida; the late Dolores Decker of Henderson; Annelle Copeland of Longview, and the late Milton Copeland of Longview. Sara graduated from Longview High School in 2007. She received a BS Degree in Psychology from Texas A&M in 2011 and went on to earn a Masters Degree in Counseling from St. Edwards University of Austin in 2015. She now works as a Therapeutic Child Specialist at Helping Hand Home in Austin while pursuing her Licensed Professional Counselor license.

The groom is the son of Jeffrey and Lynnae Paules of Atlanta, Georgia; and Zachary and Lori Kuritz of Livingston, Texas. He is the grandson of the late Robert Paules, the late Dorothy Giblin, and the late William Johnson and Roma Johnson of Beamont, Texas. Jeffrey graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1995 and attended the University of Texas at Austin. He now works as a Project Manager at Liquid Litigation Management in Austin.
