Sharon Paula Henning and Joshua Franklin Wilfong were married 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Christ the King Presbyterian Church in Longview, Texas. Pastor Ron Peacock performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Franklin and Frances Barrow of Niceville, Florida. The groom is the son of John and Wilma Wilfong of Gastonia, North Carolina.
Matron of honor was Lisa Fenton, currently residing in Qin Dao, China. The bridesmaids were Athena Pavlides, niece of the bride, Shawna Pavlides, sister of the bride, both of Grenada, Mississippi, and Teri Comroe of Longview, Texas. The flower girl was Neve Barrow Wade, niece of the bride.
Best man was Nathan Dinh of Vietnam. Groomsmen were Derek Henning, son of the bride, and Phil Ramaly, both of Longview, Texas.
A reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church hosted and arranged by Anne Glidwell, Joyce Raines, Angela Pohousky, Jackie Mauritzen and Dorene Smith. The flowers were provided by Anne, Joyce and Angela.
The couple honeymooned in an 1830s log cabin in Kyle, Texas, before traveling to Ireland and Germany, where they sailed along the Rhine River.
The bride works as a staff musician in the music department of East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. The groom is studying computer science at LeTourneau University. They reside in Longview, Texas.
