Longview’s Malik Henry holds onto the rim after dunking the ball against Tyler Lee on Friday in Tyler.

Longview's Malik Henry has been a big presence on the court for the Lobos over the past two seasons and still has one more to go.

His career following LHS took a big jump on Tuesday.

Samford University became the first overall offer for the junior PF/C, according to Lobo head coach Don Newton.

Henry, at 6-8, 190, averaged 13.6 points, 9.6 rebounds and three blocks per game during his junior season for the Lobos. He was named the Defensive MVP out of District 11-6A.

His offseason has included travelling with Drive Nation, an AAU team out of Dallas. The team recently competed in the Nike EYBL Circuit in Atlanta this past weekend.
