Longview Rules and why

If anyone out there still thinks we should be feeling in any way inferior to Tyler, here are a few facts I hope will change your perspective. First, never forget that it is Tyler that is the biggest support for our esteemed congressman, Louie. That alone should make you realize just how behind the times they are. But now a new source of shame has spotlighted just the true nature of our esteemed neighbor.
As you may be aware, we will be holding our second Gay Pride Festival this month. Tyler has yet to do even one unless you call a private event a festival. Additionally, there is a display at the Longview Public Library, composed by members of the Longview PFLAG organization, to commemorate Gay Pride Month. I hope you will all check it out and attend the reception for this display on Saturday, 2 PM, at the Library. It seems that Tyler also put up a display but yesterday, the city manager of Tyler ordered it down on the basis that it was too "political". A speaker who was to be on hand was also uninvited.
So hold your heads up high Longview. We may not be all we can be, but we are sure a finer example of tolerance, love, and inclusion than that noisy neighbor to the southwest. They may be only about 40 miles away, but they are light years behind.
