Gladewater is a small community and in many ways a very close-knit community where people look after each other. Gladewater’s youth is our community, with so much of what we do centered around our youth and our schools bringing children and families together. The Boys & Girls Club fills a void in our community by providing a place for our youth to enter in to an active environment with a lot of different activities taking place in a safe environment. The Boys & Girls Club provides after-school programs, play activities and homework assistance for the students who attend. The Boys & Girls Club links Gladewater and our youth to the greater Boys & Girls Club statewide as well as the national organization.
The club is open to children of all races and financial standing. When school is out the club offers a positive alternative for children who may be underprivileged and often surrounded by less than perfect environments. The Boys & Girls club offers a safe haven for young people and inspires our youth to reach for their greatest potential where they can grow to be productive and caring citizens.
