We the People Longview is seeking questions for its March 24 mayoral debate.

Questions can be emailed to LongviewMayorDebate@aol.com for either Councilman Richard Manley or Dr. Andy Mack to answer.

Questions are due Wednesday.  The debate will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. at Longview First Church of The Nazarene, 2601 H.G. Mosley Pkwy.

“This will allow us to coordinate questions to avoid duplications and more time to get as many questions answered as possible in the time allowed,” organizers said in a release.

Candidate G. Floyd declined the invitation, they said, because he will not be participating in any debate forums for this race.

It is the first of several debates and forums that will be held before the April 27 early voting for the May 9 election.

May will mark the first time in a decade Jay Dean will not serve as mayor.
