A third man will try to be Longview's first new mayor in a decade this May.
G. Floyd, who mounted an trifling challenge to District 3 Councilwoman Kasha Williams this past year, filed Tuesday for the position.
The window to file for the May 9 election closes Friday.
Dr. Andy Mack and District 5 Councilman Richard Manley both formally announced their candidacy before the filing period opened at the end of January and filed the first day they were able.
Floyd, 50, listed his occupation as a "minister of the gospel, small business, entrepreneur, airhandler, engineering tech, educator and contractor."
The city will also hold elections for the District 1, 2, and 5 seats on the council.
