If you’ve heard that a famous singer, songwriter and actress who sometimes causes controversy by twerking on live television is moving to Longview, you might want to keep your expectations in check.

A recent post on KNP 7 News claims Miley Cyrus is moving to the Longview area because she is “tired of the L.A. lifestyle.” The problem is, KNP 7 News is a fantasy news site. According to the site’s about page, “All news articles on are satire or pure fantasy.”

Here's a screen shot:

So, even though, the article quotes Cyrus as saying, "I've been to Longview a few times over the years and the people there are real... they're geniune," and that those are the things she weighs when deciding where to live, don't expect to see her at the Great Texas Balloon Race or T-Bone Walker Blues Festival this year.

Although the site publishes fake news, many comments on the site's post suggest many people believe that Cyrus might actually be moving here.

This also isn't the first time the same website has claimed Cyrus was on the move. They have also had Cyrus moving to Margate, a town in Florida with about 53,000 people.

The faux news site appears to enjoy claiming various stars have up and decided to move to uncharacteristic locales.

Other celebrity moves on the site:

Justin Timberlake moving to Missoula, Montana

Jim Carrey moves to Grand Rapids, Michigan

And here's a fun variation:

Justin Bieber building megachurch in Wichita, Kansas

We can all be reminded from this little charade that if something seems to far-fetched to be true, especially on the Internet, then it probably is.
