The Wikipedia page for the U.S. congressman for Northeast Texas was hacked this week, according to two online publications.

U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert’s page was altered, calling him “the stupidest member of Congress,” and calling into question his capacity to serve, according to RollCall.com and ClotureClub.com.

“It’s questionable whether he has the mental capacity to even serve,” added text on the page read.

When checked at about 4 p.m. Wednesday, the hacked text had been removed.

Roll Call reports that the hack appears to have come from a Virginia IP address, and it appears the hacker has targeted conservative members of Congress.

Gohmert has held the office representing the 13-county First Congressional District of Texas since 2005.
