Insider: Second offer this week is in for Longview 2020 QB Haynes King

It has begun.

Longview 2020 quarterback Haynes King picked up his first FBS offer on Tuesday from Louisiana Tech.

On Wednesday, the University of Houston made it back-to-back days with Division I offers for the sophomore signal caller, according to Lobo head coach John King.

King, who was the LN-J All-East Texas Football Team Offensive Newcomer of the Year, finished he debut season 130 of 240 passing for 2,106 yards with 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He added 22 carries for 238 yards and two touchdowns on the ground for the Lobos, winning 10-straight games after being named the starter.

King, the son of Longview head coach John King, also competes on the varsity basketball team as well as runs track.
