Looking to celebrities for fashion inspiration is acceptable by some and shunned by others. I think that some of the celebs kill us on what they wear, and I will never understand why the crazier they look, the more publicity they get. But I do know there are some celebs, just like the rest of us, that have impeccable taste! Reese Witherspoon and Katie Holmes are two of my absolute faves! They are classy and just know the right amount of trend to add to each look. Always flattering and simply classic! I’m posting some pics of a few celebs who had some awesome pointers this week in the news or online.
I am all about mixing a structured classic blazer with some distressed denim. Erin Heatherton is spot on with a black blouse and pointed toe heels. This is a bit dressier, although I am loving that she’s wearing a printed shoe to break up the solid colors. Even her hair being in a low pony tail adds a casual feel. Too cute and perfect for a date night, Girls Night out, or going for drinks after work.
Victoria Justice is screaming spring in this fun outfit! I am in love with light printed pants right now. I just wore some very similar to these last week. She is sporting them with a crop top and a floppy hat…perfect for this time of year! Now, we are not all going to wear a crop top and that is ok. Wear something longer and a bit flowy or more form fitting to tuck in. Flat sandals would be perfect with this, but of course you can kick it up a notch with a fabulous wedge.
Blake Lively is perfection in this pale orchid suit. Of course it is so hot for us to even think about wearing a long suit jacket like this, but we can at least pull some inspiration from this. I love the way she decided to throw in a printed top that breaks it up a bit. Even her shoes match, y’all! I can see doing this in cream. Maybe a classic pair of cream wide-leg trousers, a cream blouse, possibly a color blocked heel with khaki and cream? A printed handbag would be a way to pull in just a little color. See where I’m going with this? Totally classic and I am in love with it!
I’m a total fan of the white tank. I just am. If you have a white tee or tank, you’re golden. So simply because she chose a simple white tank with her long black printed skirt, topped off with a black floppy hat…I likey! Now, I must say, I am not too keen on that bootie. I’m all about the bootie, but not so much with this. I can even like a short skirt with a little bootie but with this outfit, I would’ve opted for some beautiful flat sandals or of course, my go-to…a wedge!
So ladies, I urge you to pull pages out of those fashion magazines. Take pics of outfits from your favorite tv show fashionistas! Be inspired by these ladies. They’re stepping out, like little stylin’ guinea pigs. Then we can pull what we love and make it our own!
