The 35th annual Gold Rush, benefiting Christus Good Shepherd, was held Oct. 20 at the Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Center in Longview.

The annual event is organized by the Christus Good Shepherd Guild, a subsidiary of the Christus Good Shepherd Foundation. This year’s theme, “Gatsby,” invited attendees to dress in 1920s clothes or wear casual attire.

Gold Rush has raised about $10 million over the years, supporting a variety of projects at the hospital, such as the heart catheterization laboratory, a mobile mammography unit, heart and lung machines and the Institute of Healthy Living. Proceeds from this year’s event were earmarked to buy infant warmers for the hospital.
