GirlsSABINE 54, G. SALINE 18: UNION GROVE — Ashlynn Davis scored 13 points, Maddie Furrh added 12 and the Sabine Lady Cardinals rolled to a 54-18 win over Grand Saline.
Addy Gresham and Tayla Calico added eight points apiece for the Lady Cardinals. Ally Gresham had five points, and Ashleigh McCormack and Claudia Simmons tossed in four apiece.
On Friday, Furrh had 12 points, Simmons eight, Addy Gresham three, Davis two and Calico one in a 29-26 loss to McLeod.
JEFFERSON 34, P. TREE 26: DIANA — Da’Navia Thomas tossed in 17 points to go along with six rebounds and six steals as the Jefferson Lady Bulldogs earned a 34-26 win over Pine Tree at the New Diana Tournament.
Kristen Thomas added seven points and five rebounds for Jefferson. Jordyn Davidson finished with three points, six rebounds and two steals, T.J. Hood two points, four rebounds, two assists and three steals, Iyanna Barnett five points and two rebounds, Jaida Bray one rebound, one assist and one steal and Amirie Pryor five rebounds.
HAWKINS 70, W. OAK 25: HAWKINS — Jordyn Warren recorded a double-double for Hawkins, and the Lady Hawks rolled to a 70-25 win over the White Oak Ladynecks on Saturday.
Jordyn Warren had 18 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists, and Makena Warren added 17 points for the Lady Hawks. Lynli Dacus added 14 points, Laney Wilson 10 points, Taetum Smith six points and four steals, Tenley Conde five points and Makena Warren four steals and three assists.
MCLEOD 25, U. GROVE 22: UNION GROVE — Ella Lambeth scored 12 points to go along with six rebounds and six steals, and McLeod outscored host team Union Grove 3-0 in overtime to earn a 25-22 win.
Stormy Johnson finished with five points, three rebounds and two steals for McLeod. Kenslee Cross and Jaci Armstrong scored one point apiece. Rielyn Schubert finished with four points, two assists and two rebounds, Regan Johnson one point, five rebounds, two assists and two steals and Peyton Johnson two points and four rebounds.
BoysP. TREE 57, RAINS 45: EMORY — Daelyn Evans led the way for the Pirates with 22 points and five rebounds, and Pine Tree earned a 57-45 win over Rains.
Daryus Gray had 10 points, three assists and two steals for the Pirates. Amare Gray finished with five points and five steals, and Jonathan Fuller added fie points and three rebounds.
The JV earned a 32-31 win, and the freshman team dropped a 35-30 decision.
HALLSVILLE 47, CANTON 38: HALLSVILLE — Anthon McDermott (13), Taylor Sheffield (11) and Luke Cheatham (10) all scored in double figures for Hallsville as the Bobcats earned a 47-38 win over Canton.
Hallsville, now 3-0, will visit Nacogdoches on Monday.
HENDERSON 59, P. GROVE 57: TEXARKANA — Devin Phillips and Jacobe Robinson both recorded double-doubles for the Lions, and Henderson held on for a 59-57 win over Pleasant Grove.
Phillips scored 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Jacobe Robinson added 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Lions, who led 30-15 at halftime. Austin berry added eight points, and Jay Alexander, Trace Antunes and Van Landon all scored two points.
MCLEOD SPLITS: UNION GROVE — McLeod earned a 38-34 win over All Saints and fell to Avinger (56-26) on Friday.
Against All Saints, Tyler Williams had 14 points an four rebounds, Kannon Dempsey 12 points and seven rebounds, Brennan Penny five points, Jaxon Smith four points, Mason Teer two points and Henry Teer one point and five rebounds.
Dempsey scored eight, Mason Teer six, Williams and Penny five apiece and Trenton McKnight two in the loss to Avinger.
GirlsTATUM WINS 2: TYLER — At the Macy Chenevert Tournament, Tatum notched wins over Whitney (58-28) and Jacksonville (35-31).
Against Whitney, Trinity Edwards scored 24 points, Summer Dancy-Vasquez 12, Aundrea Bradley eight, Rhianna Harris seven, Sanyia Cotton four, Kerrigan Biggs and Kaleigh Hooker and Emma Wiley three apiece and Jade Moore-Simon two. Biggs led with eight rebounds, Edwards with seven steals, Dancy-Vasquez with five assists and Moore-Simon with two blocks.
Against Jacksonville, Edwards scored 18, Dancy-Vasquez seven, Bradley and Biggs four apiece and Wiley three. Biggs had nine rebounds, Dancy-Vasquez and Edwards five steals apiece and Dancy-Vasquez five assists.
U. GROVE WINS 2: UNION GROVE — At their own tournament, the Union Grove Lady Lions earned wins over Ore City (52-8) and Grand Saline (47-24).
Against Ore City, Macey Roberts led the way with 14 points. Ava Wightman added eight, Gracie Stanford six, Jenna Scott five, Kyler Littlejohn, Brady Colby and Sumeet Mattu four apiece, Taylor Campbell three and Gracie Winn and Bailey Clowers each.
Roberts scored 13 in the win over Grand Saline. Winn added nine, Stanford eight, Campbell, Wightman and Littlejohn three each and Clowers and Mattu two each. Analeice Jones chipped in with a free throw.
