District 16-4AS. HILL 74, CUMBERLAND 44: The Spring Hill Panthers built a big lead early and cruised the rest of the way, rolling to a 74-44 win over Cumberland Academy.
The Panthers led 20-12 after one quarter, with Tayler Riehmann scoring six of his game-high 17 in the quarter and Jax Stovall tossing in eight of his 14 points in the frame.
Brennan Ferguson had 10 points for the Panthers. James Thomas added nine, Jack Beckett eight, Peyton Bassett six, Luke Hurst four and Jaden Giddings and Easton Ballard three apiece.
Spring Hill hit 9 triples on the night and scored 42 points in the paint.
HENDERSON 46, KILGORE 36: HENDERSON — The Henderson Lions outscored Kilgore 17-6 in the final eight minutes to earn a 46-36 win on Tuesday.
C.J. Ingram scored 19 in the loss for Kilgore, which led 19-14 at halftime and 30-29 heading to the final eight minutes.
Jake Thompson had seven points, Javiora Easley three, Thomas Hattaway and Daverian Franklin two apiece and Jayden Sanders one.
District 15-3AW. OAK 51, GLADEWATER 37: GLADEWATER — The White Oak Roughnecks, led by Ben Jacyno’s 17 points, notched a 51-37 win over the Gladewater Bears on Tuesday.
Gunner Solis added 13 for the Roughnecks(20-4, 3-0). Landon Anderson had 10 points and six rebounds, Brian Williams 10 points and Zac Jacyno one point.
Kollin Lewis scored 15, Keilan James 12, D.J. Allen six and Tyrone Maddox and Cameron Taylor two apiece in the loss for Gladewater.
The White Oak JV notched a 60-21 win.
District 16-3ATATUM 85, W. RUSK 50: NEW LONDON — Aidan Anthony and Jayden Boyd both recorded double-doubles for Tatum, and the Eagles moved to 15-5 overall and 4-0 in district play with an 85-50 win over West Rusk.
Anthony finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Boyd had 17 points, 10 rebounds, four steals and three assists for Tatum. Kendall Williams just missed going double-double, scoring 14 points and collecting nine rebounds. Kendric Malone had 13 points, six rebounds and three assists, Ty Bridges nine points, Ty’Darius Webb four points, Jordan Chambers three points and four rebounds, Jaylen Jones three points and Drake Walton two points.
TROUP 50, ARP 38: ARP — Arp head basketball coach Joe Crawford was going for career win No. 400 in the 7-Mile Rivalry against Troup on Tuesday night at John Mills Parker Gymnasium.
Instead, it was Troup picking up its first District 16-3A win and head coach Darin Harley picking up career win No. 403 as Troup took a 50-38 victory over Arp.
Trae Davis led Troup with 13 points. Bracy Cover and Logan Womack each had 12 points and six assists. Trevor Padia had 8 points. Carson Davenport scored 3 points, and Colby Turner added 2 points and 10 rebounds.
Kadaylon Williams led Arp with 18 points and also grabbed seven rebounds. Tristen Robbins had eight points Robert Draper had 7 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals. A.J. Arrington and Colin George had 2 points each, and Blake Florence added 1 point.
District 24-AAVINGER 47, SALTILLO 42: AVINGER — Cade Walked led a balanced Indian attack with 13 points, and Avinger notched a 47-42 win over Saltillo on Tuesday.
Judson Jones scored 11 points, Jaxon Neal nine, Jacob Burleson six, Luke Elder and Nate McIntyre three apiece and Jordan Samples one for the Indians.
Non-DistrictHAWKINS 46, ET HOMESCHOOL 43: HAWKINS — Bryce Burns tossed in 18 points, Dristun Pruitt added 12 for the Hawks and Hawkins edged the East Texas Homeschool Chargers, 46-43.
Jeramy Torres scored six, and Micah Staruska and Boston Conner had five apiece for Hawkins, which trailed 22-18 at halftime.
