NEW BOSTON 56, DAINGERFIELD 44: DAINGERFIELD — The middle two quarters proved to be the difference for New Boston in a 56-44 win over Daingerfield.

The Lady Lions held a slim 10-9 lead after one before outscoring Daingerfield 17-9 in the second and 12-8 in the third.

Mikayla Roberson had 14 points, five blocks, four steals and three rebounds in the loss for Daingerfield (2-2). Joi Akinsjuroju finished with three rebounds, Mon’trevia Durham five points, seven rebounds and two assists, Ashlyn Bruce seven points, Kiara Robinson seven rebounds and four points, Genesis Allen two rebounds, Malayah Everett three rebounds, Jaclyn Garrett10 points, four rebounds and two steals and TaQuazia Latchison four points and three rebounds.

BOYS

UNION GROVE 68, LONE OAK 34: UNION GROVE — Carson Daniel led three Lions into double figures with 17 points, and Union Grove pulled away after a deadlocked first quarter to earn a 68-34 win over Lone Oak.

Elijah Baker added 11 points and Matthew Bower 10 for the Lions, who outscored Lone Oak 19-9 in the second, 19-5 in the third and 16-6 in the fourth after the teams battled to a 14-14 tie in the opening frame.

Cooper Vestal and Kole Burns had seven points apiece, Noah Mayhan and Chase Mead four each and Cannon Cowan and Grayson Barnett two apiece.
