LONGVIEW “A” 34, Horn 14: MESQUITE — The Lobo JV “A” squad improved to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in district with a 34-14 verdict over Horn here Thursday at Berry Middle School.

Austin Pencheon reeled in a 27-yard TD from JeKoby Jackson, while Shannon Jackson found the end zone on runs of 21, 5 and 3 yards. JaKobe Ross’ 51-yard dart added to the victory.

Carlos Vazquez connected on four point afters.

LONGVIEW “B” 34, Horn 6: MESQUITE — Spiro Migalis’ 53-yard Pick6 highlighted the Lobo JV “B” in their 34-6 rout of Horn Thursday at Berry Middle School.

Otavio Buchanan crossed the goal line from 41 yards out, while Jamien Horn did same on a 20-yard dash. Reginald Hutchins tallied twice from 1 and 3 yards out, while Antonio Onofre tacked on four PATs.

Caleb Taylor forced and recovered a fumble. The “B” team improves to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in loop play.


LONGVIEW “A” 56, HORN 19: Isalynn Taylor had TD runs of 36, 32, 6 and 4 yards to go along with three 2-point conversions as the Longview Lobo 9th grade “A” team rolled to a 56-19 win over Mesquite Horn here Thursday at Lobo Stadium.

Jesse Fairchild also had a big night with scoring jaunts of 42 and 4 yards. Demetri Wallace brought in a 13-yard TD toss from Isaiah Harris.

E’Mond Bradger and Dekalyon Taylor each had fumble recoveries, while Rahshan Roberson, Ja’Kadrian Wobberton and DeKayron Stafford all managed interceptions. Stafford had a 24-yard Pick6.

The Lobo “A” team improves to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in district.

LONGVIEW “B” 38, HORN 6: Rodney Moore pegged Malik Lewis with TD tosses of 41 and 20 yards as the Lobo 9th grade “B” team coasted to a 38-6 win over Horn here Thursday at Lobo Stadium.

Moore also connected with Ashton Polk on a 27-yard score, while Jon’Kavin Bates added scoring runs of 1 and 3 yards. Kingston Gordon had a Hat Trick with three 2-point totes.

The trio of Silky Thatcher, Ja’Keylan Norris and Chris McGhee all recovered fumbles and Omarion Wallace picked a pass.

Longview’s freshman “B” team moves to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in league play.

PINE TREE 22, JACKSONVILLE 22: JACKSONVILLE — Jeremiah Bailey, Ethan Morgan and Charles Baker each found the end zone in the Pine Tree 9th grade’s 22-22 draw against Jacksonville here Thursday night.

Bailey, Morgan and Baker can thank the blocking of Connor Carrel, Ahmad Washington, Ricky Rodriguez, Joshua Roberts, Ben Hinojosa, and Scott Wiggins.

Defensively, Cody Janner led all tacklers with eight, followed by Dallas Dixon with six and Joseph Fisher with four. Fisher added a fumble recovery, and Bailey had three tackles and a pick.
