JUNIOR VARSITY

LONGVIEW (A) 14, JOHN TYLER 6: TYLER — A 70-yard TD run by Shannon Jackson sparked the Longview Lobo JV (A) to a 14-6 win over the John Tyler JV on Thursday evening.

Markavion Haynes added a 2-yard score, while Trey Nelson and Jacorey Valentine each picked passes.

Carlos Vazquez drilled both extra points.

Longview, which improves to 3-0 on the year, is open next week.

LONGVIEW JV (B) 19, TYLER LEE 0: TYLER — Cameron Wilson’s 40-yard TD jaunt highlighted the Longview Lobo JV (B) team in their 19-0 win over Tyler Lee.

Ontarvio Buchanan got things started for Longview with a 17-yard scoring dash, while Reginald Hutchins tacked on a TD of his own and De’Cameron Thomas added an interception.

KILGORE 42, PINE TREE 34: KILGORE - Kennan Turner found the end zone four times and racked up 165 yards rushing for the Pine Tree JV in a 42-34 loss to Kilgore at R.E. St. John Memorial Stadium.

Pirate QB Camden McEntire threw 2 TD passes and Tyler Sheffield totaled 30 yards on three catches and 30 yards rushing.

Pine Tree is open next week before returning home to host Hallsville on Sept. 27.

NINTH GRADE

JOHN TYLER 14, LONGVIEW (A) 8: The John Tyler Lions ninth grade slipped out of Lobo Stadium on Thursday with a 14-8 win over the Lobo freshman (A) squad.

Longview’s Hudson Loyd accounted for the lone Lobo TD with a 2-yard run. Isailyn Taylor chipped in with the 2-point coversion.

Longview (1-2) is idle next week.

LONGVIEW (B) 26, TEXAS HIGH 6: Gaberial Flores had a big night for the Lobo freshman (B) team in a 26-6 thumping of Texas High at Lobo Stadium.

Flores put Longview on the board early with a defensive safety. He also had a 5-yard TD run along with a 56-yard scoring toss to Malik Lewis.

Kingston Gordon added three 2-point conversions as well as a 4-yard TD trot for the Lobos.

KILGORE 21, PINE TREE 6: KILGORE — The Pine Tree freshman found themselves on the wrong end of a 21-6 loss to Kilgore on Thursday night.

Tylur Neal crashed in from three yards out for Pine Tree’s only tally.

Darion Daniels pulled in a 30-yard pass from Jeremiah Bailey in the losing cause.

Amahd Washington added a fumble recovery and Ethan Morgan rushed for 60 yards.

Pine Tree (1-2) is open next week and hosts Hallsville in two weeks.
