JUNIOR VARSITY

LONGVIEW “A” 49, ROCKWALL-HEATH 7: Shannon Jackson scored four times on runs of 14, 3, 13 and 51 yards as the Lobo JV “A” team improved to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in district with a 49-7 rout of Rockwall-Heath on Thursday at Lobo Stadium.

The Lobos got a 33-yard TD trot fro, Jaharious Jones and a 27-yard TD toss from Jecoby Jackson to Cedric Hopkins. Joe Jones added a scoop and score, while Carlos Vasquez toed three PATs.

Leundrae Craven recovered a fumble.

LONGVIEW “B” 24, TYLER LEE 6: Scoring runs of 51 and 23 yards by Cameron Wilson sparked the Lobo JV “B” squad in their 24-6 trouncing of Tyler Lee on Thursday at Lobo Stadium.

In addition to Wilson’s TDs, the Lobos got a scoring jaunt from Reginald Hutchins. Antonio Onfre drilled a 27-yard field goal and converted three point afters.

Jhy’Mhriyon Gay and Jamien Jones both picked off passes, while Gay was in on 17 tackles.

SPRING HILL 33, LIBERTY-EYLAU 32: Carter Dixon threw two TD passes and added another on the ground as the Spring Hill JV pulled out a thrilling 33-32 win over Liberty-Eylau on Thursday evening.

Brody Barnhill hauled in the game winner for the Panthers with 0:01 on the clock. Grayson Crews had the other TD reception.

Spring Hill has a bye next week before returning to action at Pleasant Grove in two weeks.

NINTH GRADE

ROCKWALL-HEATH 7, LONGVIEW “A” 0: ROCKWALL — A fumble recovery from Conner Cox was the lone bright spot in the Longview freshman “A” team’s 7-0 loss to Rockwall-Heath.

The “A” team drops to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in district.

LONGVIEW “B” 10, ROCKWALL-HEATH 8: ROCKWALL — Malik Lewis connected with Rodney Moore on a short TD pass and Johnathan Castro provided the 2-point run as the Lobo freshman “B” team notched a 10-8 win over Rockwall-Heath.

Kingston Gordon’s safety gave the Lobos their margin of victory.

Joel Perez and Omarion Wallace both had interceptions.

NACOGDOCHES 14, PINE TREE 8: The Pine Tree freshman dropped a narrow 14-8 decision to the Nacogdoches Dragons on Thursday evening at Pirate Stadium.

Tylur Neal’s 2-yard TD run was the lone scoring. Damarion Morris tacked on the 2-point conversion. The offensive line of Brannon Bargsley, Benito Hinojosa, Connor Carrell, Amahd Washington, Jacob Hall and Scott Wiggins turned in good performances.

Jeremiah Bailey had an interception, while Dallas Dixon and Chris Kelley played well on defense.

eighth Grade

SPRING HILL 44, LIBERTY-EYLAU 28: Building on a 22-8 halftime lead, the Spring Hill 8th grade bagged a 44-28 win over Liberty-Eylau on Thursday.

Montrel Hatten, who had two rushing TDs, tossed a 20-yard score to Elijah Mayhew, while Devonte’ Powers had scoring totes of 45 and 25 yards for the Panthers.

seventh grade

SPRING HILL 28, LIBERTY-EYLAU 28: Huge plays in special teams by Taylor Tatum enabled Spring Hill to forge a 28-28 tie against Liberty-Eylau on Thursday night.

Spring Hill was able to take advantage of short fields as Carson Tidwell ran for a score and connected with Wyatt McFadin for another.

Tatum added two rushing scores as well. Tidwell also picked a pass late to preserve the draw.

LATE WEDNESDAY SEVENTH GRADE

JUDSON 50, LUFKIN GOLD 28: Elijah Johnson racked up 200 yards and 3 TDs, while Willie Nelson added 125 yards and 2 TDs, leading the Judson Blue Devils to a 50-28 rout of Lufkin Gold on Wednesday.

Quarterback Andrew Tutt completed 5 of 6 passes for 187 yards and one score. Ethan Harrison had two receptions for 80 yards and Jeremiah Bowie pulled in two passes for 42 yards and a TD.

Judson (3-0-1) rolled up 512 yards in offense.

Defensive standouts included Jacoby Watts, Jaymaron Daronburg, Andrew Pierce and Kendrick Brown.

EIGHTH GRADE

LUFKIN GOLD 42, JUDSON 6: Jeremiah Roughly toted the ball 10 times for 112 yards and the lone Judson score in a 42-6 loss to Lufkin Gold here Wednesday.

Judson (0-4) got solid defensive efforts from Drake Mayfield and Roman Zaciad.
