LONGVIEW 9, ROCKWALL 5: ROCKWALL — Kerris Cameron tripled, doubled and drove in four runs, Kennedy Cameron struck out 16 and the Longview Lady Lobos opened District 11-6A play with a 9-5 win over Rockwall.

Zekyia Robinson added a double and an RBI for Longview, which put six runs on the board in the top of the sixth inning to take control of things. Kennedy Cameron and Alexius Allen also drove in runs for the Lady Lobos.

In the circle, Kennedy Cameron walked four and gave up four earned runs in seven innings.

The Lady Lobos (7-4) are idle the rest of the week and will return to action at home on March 8 against Mesquite Horn.

VAN 11, HENDERSON 10: VAN — In a game that featured 21 runs on 23 hits, Henderson came up just short to Van, 11-10, in non-district action.

Kaylie Clark slugged four hits, including a double, drove in two runs and scored twice from the leadoff spot for Henderson in the loss. Moriah Guerrero added a double and an RBI. Trinity McAlister had two hits. Maggi Dickerson drove in two runs, and Madeline Wells and Kloee Carroll chipped in with RBI.

Wells struck out 13 in the loss.
