Led by first team selections Pearl Perry of Hughes Springs, Makana Morton of West Rusk and Shelley Pierce of Beckville, East Texans earned 15 spots on the Collin Street Bakery/Texas Sports Writers Association All-State Softball Team for the 2019 season.

Along with the three first team picks, East Texas had six second team selections and six third team picks to go along with a total of 46 players earning honorable mention status.

Perry was a first team pick in the outfield in Class 3A. Morton earned first team status in Class 3A as a utility player, and Pierce was a first team selection in Class 2A at first base.

Perry hit .441 for Hughes Springs with 12 home runs, 15 doubles, six triples, 52 RBI, 45 runs scored and seven strikeouts in 125 plate appearances.

Morton was a .607 hitter with seven home runs, 19 doubles, two triples, 52 RBI, 52 runs scored and 22 stolen bases. She was also 4-2 inside the circle, striking out 47 in 34.1 innings pitched.

Pierce blasted 11 home runs to go along with a .479 average, 13 doubles, three triples, 55 RBI and 35 runs scored.

Second team picks from the area were Class 6A pitcher Kennedy Cameron of Longview, Class 5A pitcher Jayden Ainsworth of Hallsville, Class 4A pitcher Madeline Barber of Gilmer, Class 4A outfielder Mackenzie Cavanaugh of Kilgore, Class 3A pitcher Lillian Scalia of White Oak and Class 2A pitcher Ally LaGrone of Beckville.

Earning third team status were Class 5A pitcher Averie Ayers of mount Pleasant, Class 5A shortstop Jordan Dickerson of Mount Pleasant, Class 4A pitchers Kristen Wilson of Kilgore and Taylor Wills of Carthage, Class 4A utility player Samantha Schott of Spring Hill and Class 2A outfielder Kinley Pepper of Beckville.
