Hallsville picked up a big win at home while Gilmer got past Kilgore on the road. Recaps from those games and more:

HALLSVILLE 8, TEXAS HIGH 2: HALLSVILLE — Jaydin Ainsworth and Ashlea Langley combined for six hits, two RBI and five runs scored from the top two spots in the lineup, leading the Hallsville Ladycats to an 8-2 win over Texas High.

Ainsworth had three hits and scored three times, and Langley added three hits, drove in two and scored twice. Hailey Krchnak chipped in with two hits and drove in a run. Lauren Anderson drove in a couple of runs, and Lorena Ramirez and Anahi Ramirez plated a run apiece.

Maddie Melton struck out six, walked one and gave up two earned runs in a complete-game win.

GILMER 2, KILGORE 1: KILGORE — Kayley Escalante reached on a two-out error and later scored on an error in the top of the 10th inning, and Madeline Barber turned in another dominant performance inside the circle to lead Gilmer past Kilgore, 2-1.

Barber struck out 18 and walked one, giving her 32 strikeouts in 17 innings this week.

At the dish, Reanna Watson had three hits, including a double, and drove in a run. Escalante and Barber added two hits apiece, with Barber also doubling.

Kristen Wilson, Bailey Hedges and Mackenzie Harrison all had two hits in the loss for Kilgore. Miah Thomas drove in the lone run for the Lady Bulldogs.

Wilson struck out four, walked two and allowed one earned run in 10 innings to take the pitching loss.

BULLARD 4, GLADEWATER 1: GLADEWATER — Destinee Dixon tripled, singled and drove in two runs, and Ariel Matula allowed a run on eight hits as Bullard notched a 4-1 win over Gladewater.

Graci Hart tripled and drove in the lone run for Gladewater. Tiearra Williams added two hits.

Murphy Williams struck out six and walked two in 6.2 innings for the Lady Bears. She gave up two earned runs on four hits.

SABINE 17, WINONA 0: WINONA — Genesis Willett homered and drove in two runs, Madison Rice and Andrea Busby collected four RBI apiece and the Sabine Lady Cardinals rolled to a 17-0 win over Winona.

Rice doubled three times in three trips to the plate, and Busby added two doubles. Hannah Merritt added a double, single and three RBI for the Lady Cardinals. Calleigh King had two hits and drove in a run. Sarah Davis chipped in with three hits. Blaire Kaufman added two hits, and Miranda Cook and Brooke Shearer drove in runs.

Cook struck out five, walked one and allowed just one hit in three innings for the pitching win.

HARMONY 11, ARP 4: HARMONY — Hope Howard led the way offensively with a home run, double and three RBI, and Harmony used a five-run first inning to take control of things in an 11-4 win over Arp.

Dacy Dawson added a triple, single and two RBI for Harmony. Analese Cano doubled, singled and drove in a run, and Kinzee Settles chipped in with a double and an RBI. Katelyn Welborn and Tori Hudson had two hits apiece, and Kaylee Clemens added an RBI.

Settles struck out 10 and walked for in the pitching win.

Braunausha Harris had two hits and drove in two runs in the loss for Arp.

ELYSIAN FIELDS 8, ORE CITY 3: ELYSIAN FIELDS — Holly Holden tripled, doubled twice and drove in a run, leading the Elysian Fields Lady Yellowjackets to an 8-3 win over Ore City.

Bre McGinty and Christen Smith drove in two runs apiece, and Sabra Griffin, Reese Griffin and Bri Chandler all drove in a run. Kayla Evans had two hits and scored twice from the top of the order.

For Ore City in the loss, Tori Pena doubled, and Emily Hoosier drove in a run.

Shayla Mathews struck out 14, walked four and allowed one earned run for Elysian Fields to earn the pitching win. Morgan Clawson took the loss, striking out two and walking two in six innings.

MPCH 11, COOPER 10: COOPER — Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill built a big lead early and held off a late rally to earn an 11-10 win over Cooper.

The Lady Red Devils led 11-1 before Cooper scored twice in the bottom of the fifth and seven times in the bottom of the seventh.

MPCH was led offensively by Kaci Jackson with two hits and Emma McCullough, Jade Hill and Makayla Green with an RBI apiece. Cooper made 12 errors.

McCullough earned the pitching win, striking out two and walking five.

HAWKINS 9, NEW SUMMERFIELD 0: HAWKINS — Raeli Smith tossed a no-hitter and helped her own cause with two hits and two RBI, leading the Hawkins Lady Hawks past New Summerfield, 9-0.

Smith struck out eight and walked two. She, Alyssa Eddington and Mariana Clark all doubled for Hawkins, with Eddington adding two singles and an RBI and Clark adding a single and driving in one. Lilly Long drove in three runs, Alyssa Sides had two hits and Jaci Owens chipped in with an RBI.


UT DALLAS 5, LETU 0: RICHARDSON — UT Dallas pushed across five runs in the opening frame and made it stand in a 5-0 win over LeTourneau University in American Southwest Conference action.

LeTourneau drops to 7-16 overall and 5-14 in the ASC with the loss. UT Dallas moves to 12-11 and 8-5.

Ethel Warren and Bailey Woodard both doubled in the loss for LETU.
