Carthage Volleyball

Thirty-one area players and two support staff members have earned Academic All-State honors in volleyball from the Texas Girls Coaches Association based on their performances in the classroom during their high school careers.

Players from Hallsville, Marshall and Mount Pleasant in Class 5A, Henderson and Carthage in Class 4A, White Oak, Tatum, Paul Pewitt and Sabine in Class 3A and Linden-Kildare and Big Sandy in Class 2A met qualifications for the elite team.

To earn TGCA Academic All-State honors, players must be graduating seniors, must have an overall GPA average of 94 or above for grades 9-11, must be a varsity participant or member of the support staff of that sport in good standing and must be of good moral character.
