Former Whitehouse High School standout Patrick Mahomes has signed an extension with the Kansas City Chiefs through the 2031 season, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The 10-year contract could be worth between $150 to $200 million and up to $400 million with incentives, industry contract experts are posting.

Schefter said Mahomes' contract will be the richest in NFL history.

Mahomes just completed his third NFL season. He has won a regular season MVP award, a Super Bowl and a Super Bowl MVP award.
