District 9-4A Division I rivals Lindale, Chapel Hill and Kilgore are all still alive in the playoffs heading into round three.

Lindale and Chapel Hill made it three District 9-4A Division I football teams to make it to the Class 4A Division I Region III semifinals with wins on Friday night.

All three teams won by exactly 14 points.

Kilgore defeated El Campo 34-20 on Friday afternoon. That night, Lindale grabbed a 42-28 win over Brazosport and Chapel Hill took a 38-24 victory over Bay City.

In Lindale’s win over Brazosport, four different Eagles scored rushing touchdowns.

Wyatt Parker had 116 yards and two touchdowns on five carries. Devin Daniels had seven carries for 83 yards and a touchdown. Patrick Daniels had 51 yards and a score on eight carries. Clint Thurman carried the ball 11 times for 81 yards and a touchdown, and he was 8 of 12 passing for 62 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions. Ethan Moriarty caught the touchdown pass.

Casey Poe, Will Hutchens, Cory Watts, Trey Mazratian, Ethan Heller and Brandon Pettway teamed up on the offensive line to pace the way for the big offensive performance.

Ryan Stanton and Parker each had 13 tackles on defense.

Lindale (8-4) will now face Kilgore (9-3) at 1 p.m. Friday at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium.

For Kilgore against El Campo, Isaiah Ross carried 20 times for 216 yards and three touchdowns to go along with four catches for 33 yards and TD. Da’Marion Van Zandt completed 13 of 17 passes for 139 yards and a touchdown and Peyton Christian (7 tackles, 4 tackles for loss), Jaiden Sanders (9 tackles), Zaylon Stoker (8 tackles, interception) and Matthew Hardy (8 tackles, 1 sack) led the defense.

Against Bay City, sophomores Demetrius Brisbon and Rickey Stewart each accounted for three touchdowns.

Brisbon was 8 of 13 for 172 yards with three touchdowns and an interception, and he also ran for 82 yards on 12 carries. Stewart carried the ball 28 times for 184 yards and two touchdowns, and he caught a 14-yard touchdown pass.

Jayvin Mayfield and Darrius Dean had touchdown receptions of 35 and 39 yards.

Da’Veon Ross had 12 tackles. Trevor Brooks and Dillon Johnson both intercepted passes, and Brooks and Huddleston each recovered a fumble. Brooks also had three tackles for loss. The Bulldogs had 7.5 sacks as a team, including two by Malcolm Passama.

Chapel Hill (10-2) will face Lumberton (11-1) at 7 p.m. Friday at Randall Reed Stadium in New Caney.
