Checking area events off your things-to-do list isn’t much of an option these days as many activities have either been canceled or rescheduled because of concerns over the spread of the coronavirus, which has resulted in a ban on large gatherings.
Longview-area events that have been canceled and/or rescheduled are:
Longview 150 car show, rescheduled for May 23;
“Yesterday and Today – An Interactive Beatles Experience,” originally scheduled for March 28, rescheduled for July 18;
Longview Symphony events through May 15 have been canceled; including “Peter Pan & Pirate Party,” Disney’s “A Dream is a Wish” concert; “A Night in the Orient” fundraiser; Bach’s Lunch;
Third annual Longview Wine Festival, scheduled for April 25, has been rescheduled for Oct. 17;
East Texas Casa’s Blue Jeans and Ball Gowns fundraiser, originally set for April 4, has been rescheduled for July 31;
Mudbugs & Music, originally scheduled for March 28, has been rescheduled for May 15;
LeTourneau University Automotive Society Car Show, has been canceled ;
Carson and Barnes Circus Saurus, scheduled for April 1, has been canceled;
Aloha Pygmy Party, scheduled for April 25, has been canceled;
Taste of Longview, scheduled for April 6, has been canceled;
Women in Longview Day has been canceled;
Longview PRCA Rodeo has been rescheduled for Sept. 18 and 19;
Founder’s Day at Safety City has been canceled; and
Longview Ballet Theatre’s “Cinderella” has been canceled.
