Daingerfield State Park will kick off its Search for Bigfoot weekend at 8:30 p.m. Sept. 28 with the 1972 cult classic movie “The Legend of Boggy Creek.”

The weekend will continue Saturday with several educational programs with a Bigfood twist: Bigfoot art at the Nature Center and a children’s Bigfoot store. The weekend’s highlight will be the “Searchin’ for Bigfoot Hike” Saturday night. The park will close out the weekend with a dance to classics played on the park’s vintage jukebox from 8 to 10 p.m.

Daingerfield State Park also offers fishing and swimming.

Park entrance fees are $4 for adults, with children 12 and younger admitted free. Senior Texans age 65 and older pay $2 to enter the park daily with a Bluebonnet Pass.
