St. Mary’s has year-end ceremonies for students
St. Mary’s Catholic School in Longview this past week celebrated two milestones for students.
On May 21, eighth-grade students who will be in the ninth grade were presented blazers as a symbol and reminder of their responsibility as a new high school student.
On the same day, kindergarten students who will be in first grade participated in a “bridge” ceremony led by Principal Darbie Safford and kindergarten teacher Michaelle Canion.
The students received a certificate of completion and spent the morning as first-graders.
