Three people were killed in a fiery two-vehicle crash Monday night in Harrison County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Troopers responded at 11:10 p.m. to the crash on eastbound Interstate 20 about 8 miles east of Marshall, according to DPS Sgt. Jean Dark.
She said a preliminary crash report showed an eastbound SUV struck an eastbound tractor-trailer causing the SUV to flip forward and land upside down. The vehicle caught fire, killing the front passenger and two rear passengers.
The driver was taken to LSU Health in Shreveport in serious condition, Dark said.
The names of those involved in the crash have not been released pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
