A Georgia man was arrested Tuesday evening on drug charges after troopers said they found more than five pounds of marijuana in his vehicle.
Ryan O'Neil Daley, 42, of Atlanta, Ga., was arrested around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday on Interstate 20 at mile marker 582 near Liberty City after a traffic stop for following too closely to another vehicle, DPS trooper Brant Smith said in arrest reports.
Smith said when he approached Daley's car, he smelled a "strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle along with an odor of air freshener."
During a search of Daley's vehicle, Smith said he found more than five pounds of marijuana in a trash bag that was wrapped in Duct Tape.
Daley remained jailed Wednesday on $20,000 bond, charged with having between five and 50 pounds of marijuana.
